CHAPTER 6
Tania took a shower and was in her room getting dressed when Nico came into her room. “Hey…what are you doing in here?” he asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “I didn’t want to upset you when you woke up” she said. “Why would I be upset?” he asked as he turned her around to face him.
“Last night…I mean…I didn’t mean to fall asleep in your bed” she said looking up at him. “Baby girl…why would I be mad? I mean...if I had you in my bed then it is obvious that I wanted you there. I wouldn’t have gotten upset. You didn’t have to come back in here!” he said as he looked down at her wrapped up in her towel. A wicked smile came over his face as he started to unwrap the towel. Just as he was about to kick things up a notch, Mina started crying.
“Damn…the little girl is blocking!” he said laughing. “That’s your child!” Tania said. “Our child…that’s our child! I think she’s determined on being an only child!” he said leaving out of the room.
They spent the day around the house, hanging out like one big happy family. Tania was still a bit wary of him. She didn’t know if he was going to go back to being the old him and snap on her again or if this was the normal him. After Nico put Mina down for a nap, he felt that it was time to have that talk with Tania.
She was sitting on the patio enjoying the cool breeze when he came outside and sat on the chaise lounge with her. He wrapped his arms around her. Tania looked up at him and smiled. “Are you ready to have a serious talk now?” he asked. Tania’s smile faded away. “Hey…don’t look like that. It’s not a bad talk. It’s actually a very good one” he said. “What is it about?” she asked.
“You know I love everything about you right?” he said. “Yes” she replied. “I am absolutely crazy about you. But while you were gone…I was seeing someone else and it hit me that she had everything that you didn’t have!” Nico said. Tania sat up and looked back at him. What the hell was he trying to tell her?
“What did she have that I didn’t?” Tania asked. “She had this spice about her. It was natural. She was outgoing, she had this sexiness about her. She wasn’t afraid to do anything I asked her to do. She had this walk about her and this way she dressed. It was like she woke up looking glamorous every morning” he said.
“So what are you trying to say? You want to be with her?” Tania asked with tears in her eyes. “No. Oh hell no. I’m not saying that. I’m just saying that…if you were more like her then I wouldn’t have a need to look elsewhere” he said.
“I’m not sexy. I can’t be sexy. I’m sorry if I’m not glamorous enough for you” she said sitting up.
